At Lipogenex Anti-Aging Center, we offer the revolutionary procedure called J-Plasma Skin Resurfacing. We are one of a few locations that offers this cutting edge procedure and continue to see significant improvement in our client’s needs. J-Plasma is an advanced resurfacing procedure that uses innovative technology to give you back the skin texture and vitality you once had. It gets rid of wrinkles and laxity of the skin, it improves uneven pigmentation that many patients suffer as a result of sun damage. For those who are looking for a solution to a younger and healthier looking skin, we highly recommend scheduling a consultation to discuss J-Plasma with our team.

Who Can Benefit from J-Plasma?

There are many potential benefits to the use of J-Plasma. The only way to know if you can benefit from this procedure is to come in for a consultation with our team. However, many patients who have severely sun-damaged skin can restore it to a youthful, beautiful appearance again. Many call this procedure “hitting the reset button”. We’ve seen significant success including:

  • Tightening of the skin around the eyes and the lips; improvement of the lower face wrinkles to create a natural glow
  • Tightening of loose skin around the jawline and cheeks
  • Reduction in forehead lines and wrinkles including crow’s feet around the eyes
  • Significant reduction of deep lines and wrinkles on all areas of the face
  • Elimination or improvement of lip lines, the so called “smoker’s lines”
  • Reduction of scarring and uneven coloring to create a youthful glow
  • Getting rid of freckles and age spots.

There’s no limit to the number of benefits our patients are seeing from this procedure. It could be ideal for many people and it is considered by most as an alternative to a surgical facelift.

How Does It Work?

The J-Plasma procedure works in an innovative approach. Plasma is created by energizing helium gas so its atoms and molecules separate (called ionization) into negatively charged electrons, and positively charged ions, which may be controlled by electromagnetic fields. This plasma stream is “passed over” or “painted over” the skin that is being treated. It works to tighten up the skin using the collagen production process. It is a nonsurgical treatment and it can do much of the same things that a traditional eyelid lift or facelift can do, but without the recovery time and pain associated with those surgical procedures. For those with more advanced needs, the J-Plasma procedure can be used alongside surgical procedures to improve results.

What Happens During an Appointment?

In most cases, you will visit our office prior to the scheduled treatment time for a consultation and discussion about the procedure. Pretreatment and post-treatment instructions are given at that time. The actual appointment time is approximately two hours. The procedure is done under local anesthetic injections so clients feel very comfortable. You will not be able to drive home, so you need to make arrangements for a family member or friend to take you home. You will be able to get back to your regular routine rather quickly.

After the procedure, your skin will heal naturally. This healing process will include some peeling that happens in about 3 to 7 days after the procedure. Within 12-14 days most people are able to return back to all normal activities (work or other) and in about six weeks, the red coloring that is present will fade to a more natural hue. You will be able to wear makeup and skincare products (with doctor approval) after about 10 to12 days. It is best to remain off work for about 12-14 days to allow your skin to heal properly without the risk of infection.

If you are tired of wrinkles and fine lines but you do not want to go through a surgical procedure, contact our office to learn more about the J-Plasma procedure. Our team will provide you with an extensive evaluation and consultation to discuss your options and the benefits it can offer.
